Dr. Frank Chance, Associate Director, Center for East Asian Studies at University of Pennsylvania since 2002, has been studying Japanese and Asian culture, including ceramics and tea. He was the Executive Director of the Shofuso Japanese House and Garden in Philadelphia, where chado is practiced every week, and is currently writing a textbook to introduce Korean art to international audiences.
Join Dr.Chance for the final lecture in this three part series. This lecture, titled Variety in Japanese Tea Ceramics, will take place at the Fairmount Park Horticulture Center, about 100 yards from Shofuso’s front gate.
